“Dune”
A very loyal, dependable member of Burke High School Class of 1963.
While at Burke, James was a member of the Gems social club, the basketball team, the Dramatic Guild and the Senior Choir. James was very trustworthy and always eager to help. A man with a good spirit and great sportsmanship.
In honor of the life-long bond, we forged with those now passed beyond. The friends with whom we learned life’s truths; whose bonds lasted far beyond our youth.
James was one of seven classmates affectionately known as “The Wrecking Crew”. These guys worked faithfully to construct as well as de-construct everything during our class reunions venues. They left no stone unturned.
The memory of your smile will always brighten our day, because when we miss you, you’re just a thought away.
— The Class of 1963, Thomasina Smith Cook, Class President
