She was a former teacher at Minnie Hughes Elementary School, Charleston County School District. Ms. Godfrey leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted daughter, Simone Harvey (Tim); granddaughter, Brittany Godfrey; sister, Geneva Hanna; and brother, Joseph “Sammy” (Georgetta) Mahoney.
