  Memorial for Lillian (Chuckie) T. Wright Nelson

     Before noon on Monday, February 21, 2022, “Chuckie” put on her majorette boots and transitioned.  We, the members of BHS Class of 1963, bask in the many fond memories of our “Chuckie”.  She was an active member of our Alumnae Association since its inception.  While in school, the friendly giant was well liked.  Her cosmetology training made her THE go to person for a quick fix.  She was also an avid and enthusiastic basketball player.

     Her grace and charm were demonstrated as she reigned as an attendant to Miss Burke, her buddy, Marjorie Coakley McIver.  Additionally, Chuckie is pictured in our yearbook as Miss Hi-Y.

     Chuckie was the catalyst and lead fundraiser for most of our events.  She was always the life and light of the party. Her performance was exceptional at our 2018 Emerald Reunion in Oxon Hill, Maryland in which she led the band.  Chuckie never missed a beat.  Along these lines, she continued her fervent support of our class during our most recent class meeting on September 6, 2021.

     Chuckie marched with Bulldog pride and undoubtedly kept the faith.
